Celebrating Three Years of Community and Growth

FilAus marked its third anniversary with a joyful celebration on the 23rd of November 2024 at Freccia Azzura. This special evening was a vibrant display of unity, culture, and appreciation, bringing together members, supporters, and friends to reflect on another year of accomplishments and connections.

Highlights of the event included dynamic presentations of three traditional and contemporary dances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage at the heart of the FilAus community. Adding to the evening’s significance was the presence of special guests, including Mayor Habi, who joined in honouring the community’s achievements.

A key moment of the celebration was the recognition of outstanding volunteer members. This year, awards were presented to Dado Sienna, Rosie Lina Sienna, Rudy Gemanel, and Mark Levvey for their exceptional dedication and contributions to the organisation. Their unwavering support and efforts embody the spirit of FilAus and its mission to foster community well-being.

Adding to the sense of camaraderie, members joined voices to sing the FilAus theme song, “That’s What Friends Are For,” a heartfelt moment that underscored the bonds of friendship and solidarity that define the organisation.

The festivities also featured an exciting raffle draw, with prizes that brought smiles and added to the evening’s lively atmosphere.

As conversations flowed and laughter echoed through the venue, attendees celebrated the milestones of the past year and looked forward to the opportunities ahead. The event was a testament to FilAus’s ongoing commitment to promoting cultural heritage, strengthening social connections, and inspiring its members.

With gratitude for the contributions of all who have supported its journey, FilAus embraces the future with optimism and determination, continuing to thrive as a vibrant and united community.
